There’s a very interesting bridge near my hotel, spanning the Connecticut River connecting West Springfield to Springfield.

It was dedicated on August 3, 1922 as a memorial to “those who have died as pioneers and soldiers in the
Revolutionary, Civil and Foreign Wars.
The bridge is closed on the 4th of July and 9:00 PM it becomes the launch pad for fireworks.
I had a great view of the festivities from the parking structure of my hotel.
Fireworks, like all gigantic displays such as the Grand Canyon and the California Redwood trees in Sequoia, are
difficult to capture in photographs because their full beauty is linked to their size.
But I had fun trying...
