New Bern, NC - 8 FEB 2008

This time my navigation system didn't even warn me...it just wanted me to go straight ahead another six miles.

We're spending the week-end in New Bern, NC...home to the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola.

We took side roads and saw some very unique front lawns. These cows are life size.

These folks not only have a double wide with a full size yard, they're also able to keep all the relatives close by. 

Yes, those are real grave stones on top of real graves!

Is the deer looking for someone to sleep with? (And, it didn't look temporary.) Oh, I just got it...I bet in the Spring/Summer it's a flower bed.

At least these guys are functional; they eliminate the need to mow the lawn.
