Tinky Winky sits on the steps of Historic Stagville slave quarters:
Once it was one of the largest plantations in Antebellum North Carolina (30,000 acres) and had 900 slaves working the landing. After leaving Stagville, we took a scenic road route and found this unusual sight:
I spent 18 years on the farm and never saw a cow with this kind of coloring. TW wanted to know if they make Oreo cookies from their milk. When I got back to the hotel, I did some research and found they are Dutch Belted dairy cows. They were newly introduced into the United States, less than ten years ago.
