It was cold and foggy but I made it to the top of Holy Mountain (in Heidelberg) to a wildlife refuge that contains the ruins of the 11th century St. Stephan’s Monastery. The tower was built in 1885-86 from monastery stones, hence there is very little left of the actual monastery.On a clear day, this must be an incredible view: The mist was so heavy, my lens got wet taking this shot:
